Keeping the numbers clear

How much my recipe costs

Enter your prices and amounts. Calculate the real cost and explore a selling price with the margin you choose.

How to calculate the cost of a recipe

  1. 1Enter the price and size of each package along with the amount you actually use.
  2. 2Add the yield, packaging, hours of work and other expenses for the batch.
  3. 3If you sell, add the margin you want to estimate a price per unit.

An example

If a 1 kg package costs 2,000 and you use 250 g, the recipe takes 500 of that ingredient. Then it divides the total cost by the servings or units you get.

What to keep in mind

Margin and markup aren't the same: with a cost of 100 and a 25% margin, the price is 133.33. The calculator doesn't look up prices or convert currencies; it only uses the data you enter.
